Clarity

Like most of New England I am trying to watch the Patriots game. Unlike most of New England I have several barriers. First of all, I don’t even care who wins the game because long ago with my younger brother in the Heart of Central New York, we became enamored with the original America’s Team with shiny helmets, and of course those cheerleaders. I can’t reveal the team of my passion because the ridicule and backlash would be too much to bear on a peaceful Sunday night. Besides, like I said I am trying to watch the game and having serious issues. The haze of dust and cat fur are surely not helping me see the screen. The thumbprint on my custom made multi-focal but really no focal lenses is hindering the view. Also, clearly or not, the rain coming down in literal sheets on the field isn’t helping matters on the live end. But back to my obstructed view seat…

The only way to see what I want to see, is to remain calm. Stay in one place. Perhaps adjust my weary, achy neck just so, and peer just right to capture an image that my reluctant optic nerve will hopefully process and send to my cluttered brain. But that might be like expecting Kyler Murray to complete a Hail Mary pass to beat the Buffalo Bills. Wait. What.

So, yeah. I found the clarity I was seeking. I definitely had to grind, and work harder than a teacher trying to zoom teach a class the features of a triangular prism and find the volume and surface area of 3 dimensional objects through our 2 dimensional lives, but I digress. Point is, I had to work hard to find clarity. It does not come easy. For anyone. Anytime, anywhere. But you can get there, if you can stay in one place long enough to reflect on the view, remain calm, and clear away the chaos and the clutter. I recommend starting with the clutter, because if you do not get rid of the mountain of kid’s shoes on the stairs you are doomed to crack a rib when you climb the hazardous route to said kid’s bedroom. I have no idea why that particular example of clutter popped into my head because the Donadoni Academy has NEVER had anyone NOT put things away.

Back to clarity, when you get it, you can see more than Cam Newton- you can find peace, quiet, and in my case creativity. By the way, did the Patriots win? Because I started thinking and writing and missed it…

Thanks for coming!
