Yup. (SIGH)…I know. It’s only a game. But watching the Red Sox top the Yanks in the wildcard game may have clenched my caboose tighter than Wally’s jaws on a pizza crust. And that’s unfortunate, because this type of pain is something that can linger longer than one of Joe Spina’s legendaryMarshall monologues. Nevertheless, we will bounce back. Keep. Calm. and Carry on. It’s what we do.

The Donadoni Academy had some “ Tikky Tokky Snappy Chatty” challenges thrown their way. But yes, the teachers and staff are all safe and sound. HEYYYYYY… we … are… PROFESSIONALS FOR CRYIN’ OUT LOUD!” We got this.

This is the challenge. Moving 4,566,798 books and baseball cards, legos, sweatshirts and fuzzy animals…(we threw out the fuzzy fruit) from one unnamed person’s room to our new house. It’s not gonna be easy. But you know that come MCAS time every school has their Eva O to gather the bins and collect the bins and check the bins and make sure the bins have what they need and …etc.

But that brings me to my point. The pain o f the SOX continued march to October Glory is eased by the knowledge that I have arrived at the ultimate destination. The best place on earth for me and the Academy. A classroom. A simple teaching classroom that allows me to help others during the day…then Mr. Magoo it home to my HOME with my Fam to have an adventure or two with Wally and Carpe Diem.

Grateful today. Not for baseball. But for finding the groove, the sweet spot, the rhythm of life and family. Now…I just need to figure out how to reattach my rotator cuff, straighten out my nose, heal the ribs, and keep rowing my boats in the direction of peace and serenity.

I am hoping someone can stop the Red Sox grocery cart of fun and fame from flying into the World Series Championship. But I will be grateful in the knowledge that no matter what happens…we are all where we are supposed to be here at the Academy.

Thanks for Coming!
